Role Overview
We are seeking an adept problem-solver who can ensure the smooth running of complex staffing operations. As the Rostering Officer reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will be key to maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant workforce scheduling within our residential aged care services.
Key Duties
- Manage daily rosters for nursing, personal care, hospitality, and lifestyle teams
- Respond swiftly to unexpected absences, arranging replacements promptly
- Optimize use of internal staff to reduce reliance on agency personnel
- Keep precise workforce records and update rosters in real time
- Publish rosters at least two weeks ahead of schedule
- Ensure staffing allocations fulfill operational needs and AN-ACC requirements
- Process roster alterations and timesheet updates to aid accurate payroll
- Track staffing patterns, identify issues, and escalate concerns suitably
- Prepare official roster documents, including Standard Shift Change Letters
- Communicate effectively with managers, staff, and agencies
- Foster positive relationships across sites and corporate teams
- Participate in ongoing improvements to the rostering function

Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in rostering or workforce scheduling roles
- Experience in aged care, healthcare, or community sectors is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of Aged Care Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and rostering best practices
- Excellent skills in organisation, administration, and time management
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- High attention to detail with strong commitment to accuracy
- Familiarity with Humanforce workforce management software is advantageous
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively in a team setting
- Resilience, adaptability, and a customer-oriented approach
Pre-Employment Conditions
