Role overview
dnata Airport Services Australia operates as a ground handling provider for airlines and airport operators across Australia, with a wider footprint spanning ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering across five continents. This opening sits within the Sydney Passenger Services operation at Sydney International Airport and focuses on rostering support for airport passenger services.
The position works closely with the Passenger Service Department to make sure the right staffing levels are available for each shift.
What you will do
- Review aircraft load information and build rosters and worksheets in line with airline service level agreements.
- Manage annual leave requests and keep scheduling records up to date.
- Apply existing rostering patterns and develop new ones where needed, while staying aligned with EBA conditions.
- Update schedules promptly when operational changes occur.
- Prepare accurate worksheets for the SDS team to use during shifts.
- Learn and adapt to new systems introduced into the business.
- Help coordinate staff allocation for training needs.
- Protect staff and business confidentiality at all times.
- Work within set budgets and produce detailed analytical reports.
- Apply knowledge of EBAs, labour compliance, and relevant government and statutory obligations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate compliance and budget requirements clearly and support workable plans.

Selection criteria
- Hands-on experience in rostering.
- Strong understanding of business operations, service level agreements, and enterprise agreement interpretation.
- Confident computer use, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Clear and effective written and spoken communication.
- Ability to work proactively and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Comfortable contributing within a small team.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
