Room Attendant

Role overview

This full-time role is based at Casino Rama Resort in Rama, Ontario. The Room Attendant is responsible for keeping guest rooms and shared areas spotless, orderly, and ready for arrival so visitors can relax in a comfortable environment.

Compensation

The pay progression for this position is as follows: starting wage of $18.24, $20.52 after 520 hours, and $22.80 after one year.

Key duties

• Clean guest rooms and common/public areas
• Keep all assigned work areas neat and sanitary
• Restock in-room supplies and housekeeping items each day
• Protect guest privacy and help safeguard property and security
• Follow safe work practices along with health and safety procedures
• Flag any maintenance or safety concerns promptly

What the role requires

• Previous housekeeping experience, or a strong willingness to learn
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move cleaning tools and supplies
• Physical stamina to maintain a steady pace through manual work
• Basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Familiarity with WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
• Pride in quality work and comfort working in a team
• Self-motivation and good time management skills
• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
