Room Attendant

Overview

The Room Attendant is part of the Housekeeping & Laundry team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on maintaining guest rooms and surrounding public areas to the hotel’s cleanliness and service standards, while also supporting guest satisfaction through prompt, courteous assistance.

What you will do

• Service assigned guest rooms to the hotel’s required standard, including bed-making, dusting furniture and surfaces, restocking guestroom and bathroom amenities, cleaning bathrooms, and vacuuming carpets.
• Check each room during cleaning to confirm everything is in working order and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Clean corridors, public areas near assigned rooms, equipment, and pantries to keep all spaces presentable.
• Stay up to date on hotel products and services so guest enquiries can be answered accurately.
• Respond to guest requests and questions in a warm, helpful manner, and escalate to the right person when necessary.
• Record important notes on assignment sheets for reference and follow-up, including unusual situations, guest concerns, and special attention needs at the end of the shift.
• Check room status physically and inform the Order Taker of any mismatches or discrepancies.
• Report lost and found items immediately to the supervisor and Order Taker, and coordinate the return process as instructed.
• Carry out turndown service for assigned rooms according to hotel standards, including turning down beds, replenishing supplies, and cleaning the bathroom when needed.
• Handle late check-out rooms and rooms requiring late service in line with hotel procedures.
• Use guest and cleaning supplies carefully to help control costs.
• Take on any other duties or tasks that may be assigned based on business and hotel requirements.
