Room Attendant - Housekeeping

Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is hiring a full-time permanent Room Attendant for its Ottawa, Ontario property. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, this role is responsible for making sure guest rooms are cleaned and prepared to the hotel’s required standards. This is an active opening.

Compensation for this position is $20.82 per hour.

Key duties

• Clean guest rooms using approved cleaning products and equipment while following department procedures.
• Take away used linens, keep inventory updated, and restock rooms with fresh linens before guest arrival.
• Arrange and refill guest room supplies and amenities.
• Keep the housekeeping cart tidy, organized, and stocked with the needed supplies.
• Help maintain a work area that is clean, safe, and free from hazards.
• Support positive interactions with guests and fellow team members.
• Carry out additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a high school diploma or a trade school certificate. Relevant education and work experience may be considered interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.

Additional requirements

• All required licences and certifications must be obtained and kept current in line with federal, provincial, and gaming commission rules.
• Experience with opening new properties or outlets is preferred.
• Applicants must be at least 19 years old.
• Availability for holidays, weekends, and flexible shift schedules is required.

Physical requirements

• Must be able to stand and sit for long periods.
• Must be able to walk distances as needed.
• Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds.
