Job description
Role overview
Hotel Zed Victoria is seeking a full-time Room Attendant to join its energetic housekeeping team in Victoria, British Columbia. The position is part of a family-owned, BC-based hospitality group that focuses on staff wellbeing and a lively, unconventional guest experience.
About the workplace
The company describes itself as a fun, nontraditional hotel brand that values authenticity, teamwork, and positivity. Its culture is built around four guiding principles: being genuine, having fun, improving things continuously, and supporting one another. Employee happiness is treated as the company’s top priority.
Compensation and benefits
This full-time role offers pay in the range of $20.50 to $21.50 per hour. Benefits include full coverage of medical and dental premiums, access to free mental health support, complimentary stays at any of the company’s hotels, discounted rates for friends and family, a personal development fund for courses that improve your life, gift cards tied to performance targets, and an employee purchase program with savings on items such as electronics and mattresses.
What the role involves
The Room Attendant is responsible for keeping guest rooms exceptionally clean, organized, and comfortable. The work includes preparing housekeeping supplies, cleaning and sanitizing rooms, arranging furnishings and fixtures neatly, checking that room items are functioning properly, reporting repair needs, making beds, and replenishing supplies for bathrooms and kitchen areas.
Working conditions and special notes
Weekend availability is required, and the start date is planned for mid-July. The successful candidate should also be willing to occasionally work at the nearby Accent Inns Victoria property. Applicants are expected to include a note explaining why they want to join the team.
Ideal fit
This opportunity suits someone who enjoys routine, stays active during the day, takes pride in cleanliness, and works comfortably on their own. A cheerful attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle lifting, carrying, and pushing heavier items are important. Prior housekeeping experience is helpful, though training can be provided to the right candidate.
