Role purpose

As a Room Attendant, you will be an important part of the Housekeeping team, helping create a polished and welcoming experience for every guest. The role is centered on keeping rooms immaculate, noticing the small details that make a big difference, and supporting guests and teammates whenever needed. Your contribution helps ensure visitors leave with a memorable impression of warm hospitality.

Compensation

The role offers a base pay of AUD 25.85 per hour from Monday to Friday. Weekend and holiday rates are higher: AUD 32.31 per hour on Saturday, AUD 38.78 per hour on Sunday, and AUD 58.16 per hour on public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including replacing linens, sanitising bathrooms, and wiping all surfaces to maintain a strong first impression.
• Follow the hotel’s housekeeping standards and procedures consistently.
• Keep housekeeping carts stocked, tidy, and ready for use.
• Handle cleaning products safely and follow all required safety practices.
• Protect guest privacy and uphold room security at all times.
• Escalate maintenance concerns quickly so issues can be resolved without delay.

Skills and experience

• Prior work as a cleaner or room attendant will be viewed positively.
• Friendly, guest-focused communication style.
• Strong attention to detail, good time management, and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Comfort with a physically active job that may involve internal and external stairways and open walkways.
• Ability to work well with colleagues from different backgrounds.
• Reliable transport and flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
