Role Overview

The Room Attendant is vital in maintaining a secure, clean, and hospitable atmosphere for residents, their families, and staff. This role supports both housekeeping and laundry departments and ensures adherence to Sunrise's high standards for service and resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks in resident rooms, shared spaces, and administrative areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors, furnishings, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, showers, and glass surfaces thoroughly.
• Honor residents’ privacy by knocking before entering their rooms.
• Collect waste materials and handle clean and soiled linens accordingly.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry within the community.
• Examine linens for damage and proceed with protocols for worn items.
• Keep cleaning tools and supplies organized and in safe working condition.
• Follow infection control policies, OSHA guidelines, and safety procedures consistently.
• Assist residents with their needs and communicate important updates to supervisors.
• Engage in team meetings and participate in community involvement initiatives.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is between 20.25 and 24.65 per hour.
