Job description
Role Overview
Hospitality Resorts Inc is hiring a Room Attendant to join the housekeeping team at a hotel overlooking Niagara Falls. This position is suited to someone who enjoys guest service, works well with others, and can also stay productive when working independently. A strong eye for detail is important in this role.
What You’ll Do
- Keep guest rooms and shared areas clean and presentable in line with hotel housekeeping standards, procedures, and policies.
- Offer courteous support to guests and respond to questions to help improve their stay.
- Report room issues and maintenance concerns to the appropriate teams.
- Organize room-cleaning tasks so rooms are turned around efficiently and check-in timelines are met.
- Maintain tidy hallways by vacuuming and cleaning mirrors and windows.
- Handle deep-cleaning, project work, and special tasks such as preventative maintenance support and removal of carpet stains.
- Follow all hotel rules as well as health and safety requirements.
Experience, Skills, and Working Conditions
The hotel is looking for someone who can operate effectively in a busy, fast-moving environment, take direction from supervisors, and communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. Prior housekeeping experience is helpful but not mandatory, as training can be provided to the right person.
The role involves regular physical activity. Candidates must be able to lift and move items up to 23 kilograms, push up to 23 kilograms over moderate to long distances using a cart, and handle frequent bending, stretching, kneeling, stair climbing, and similar movements. Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.
Onboarding Requirement
The selected candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check to the hotel’s satisfaction.
