You will work from home at the start and end of each shift and spend your day attending call-outs in the field.

Location

Opportunities are available across the South West, including Bournemouth, Bristol, and Cheltenham.

Pay and working pattern

What the role involves

You will diagnose faults, carry out roadside mechanical repairs, and support members during breakdown situations. The work may range from simple issues such as battery failures and tyre changes to more complex troubleshooting. The position requires a balance of technical skill, calm decision-making, and strong member service.

What you will be provided

RAC supplies a company van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic equipment so you are ready to work from day one.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification, or an equivalent credential, along with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in technical, electrical, and diagnostic work. A customer-first attitude and a full UK driving licence are also required.

Benefits

Benefits include free RAC Ultimate breakdown cover from day one, access to a colleague share scheme, a car salary sacrifice scheme with electric vehicle options after 12 months, 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays rising to 25 with service, matched pension contributions of up to 6.5%, life cover up to 4x salary (or 10x with flex benefits), 24/7 confidential wellbeing support for you and your family, and discounts on tools, technology, holidays, and more through the Orange Savings portal.
