Risk Control Strategy Product Manager (Disposal Optimization)

Role Overview

This position sits within the Business Risk Integrated Control (BRIC) team, whose work focuses on protecting TikTok users and users across other ByteDance products such as CapCut and Lark. The team safeguards platform integrity and community trust, while partnering with multiple internal teams to build systems, tools, and processes that reduce harmful inauthentic activity.

The scope of the function covers a broad range of community and business risk areas, including account integrity, engagement authenticity, spam prevention, API misuse, growth fraud, live-stream security, and financial safety linked to advertising and e-commerce.

What You Will Do

• Own analysis of product needs, product strategy, solution design, and project delivery for anti-cheat account handling capabilities across TikTok’s global use cases.
• Use internal tools, external solutions, and intelligent technologies to improve how risky accounts are processed, making the workflow more effective and efficient while ensuring actions remain appropriate and well-justified.
• Work closely with business teams and other stakeholders to understand company goals and operational priorities, balancing internal expectations with live platform performance.
• Set up clear and efficient collaboration and communication processes so that risk control objectives are well understood and executed across the business.
• Create measurable, data-driven indicators to assess handling quality, evaluate governance results, and understand the impact on business outcomes.
• Bring familiarity with common violation patterns, abuse methods, and operating approaches used in security and risk control scenarios, with experience in governance work preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; candidates with backgrounds in Computer Science, Information Security, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines are especially preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in internet product work.
• Prior exposure to risk control, anti-cheat, anti-fraud, strategy, or similar domains is an advantage.
• Strong analytical ability, sound reasoning, and a clear focus on outcomes.
• High sense of ownership, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work well in teams.
• Good learning agility, curiosity, self-drive, and comfort with challenging work environments.
• Experience in an international company is preferred.
• Exposure to big data analysis or AI algorithms is preferred.
• Familiarity with risk-control operations, abuse patterns, and standard handling procedures is preferred.
