Risk, Change & Business Continuity Lead

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead risk, change, and continuity activities for critical operational assets and utility services. You will work closely with internal teams, participate in management-level discussions, and ensure practical mitigation plans are implemented effectively.

• Attend and represent the contractor in management meetings when required.
• Coordinate with internal teams so that risk mitigation actions are carried out by O&M teams in a timely manner.
• Inspect site activities, prepare risk assessments and mitigation plans for active O&M work, and train team members as needed.
• Prepare regular technical updates on asset risk exposure and the performance of engineering treatment measures.
• Build and maintain a detailed risk register for essential assets, including power, water, cooling, and roads.
• Evaluate how sudden technical failures could affect airport operations and define preventive response measures.
• Review risks across the full asset life cycle to support long-term efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Develop and update business continuity and resiliency plans for the four core utility services.
• Carry out business impact analysis to set engineering response priorities during system outages or failures.
• Plan and run simulation drills for major technical disruption scenarios.
• Assess technical risks introduced by equipment, system, or maintenance process changes before those changes are implemented.
• Connect engineering change requests to the risk register to strengthen site safety and security.
• Create technical procedures that help preserve improvements coming from R&D initiatives.
• Oversee disaster recovery processes to restore power, water, cooling, and road services as quickly as possible.
• Develop contingency arrangements such as temporary generators or alternate cooling solutions.
• Ensure engineering solutions follow GACA requirements and relevant international safety standards at KAIA.

Education and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Project Management or a closely related discipline is required.
• Applicants should have 5 to 8 years of professional experience in risk management, change management, business continuity, project management, or a similar field.
• Prior experience in the aviation sector is mandatory.
• Professional certifications such as RMP, CBCP, or ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager are expected.
• Knowledge of Saudi NCEMA requirements is important for this position.

This position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia and is a full-time onsite role. The role is focused on operational resilience, technical governance, and continuity planning for critical airport utility services.
