Job description
About the Role
This role focuses on creating residential construction blueprints for both brand-new and previously released plans, including elevations and option drawings, using Revit.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and document residential construction blueprints for plans, elevations, and options while meeting daily turnaround expectations.
- Review new plan, elevation, and option drawings and route them to the Vice President of Production for review.
- Develop bills of materials to support material takeoff estimates.
- Work closely with the Estimating Department to keep estimating and production practices aligned.
- Update existing residential construction drawings to reflect revisions and monthly plan changes.
- Generate bills of materials for revised plans to support estimating needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required; an associate degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of drafting experience is necessary.
- Strong computer proficiency is expected, including advanced experience with Autodesk Revit and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, or VisionRez is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required.
