Overview

We are seeking an experienced Review Project Manager based in the United States to lead complex legal document review projects by integrating legal acumen, project leadership, and technology-enabled methods. This role is pivotal in guiding clients, legal teams, and internal groups to refine review strategies and boost operational effectiveness. It involves designing workflows, managing review teams, and leveraging advanced tech tools to ensure precise and cost-efficient results. The ideal candidate is an attorney with a proactive approach, adept at collaborating across teams and fostering innovation in legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee document review projects from initial planning to successful completion, maintaining alignment with project goals, quality standards, timelines, and operational objectives.
  • Create and implement tailored review strategies, workflows, and project plans responsive to client requirements and matter-specific goals.
  • Serve as the principal liaison for clients, legal counsel, staffing partners, and internal stakeholders, offering frequent updates on project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on optimizing review workflows and propose best practices to enhance precision, efficiency, and overall performance.
  • Supervise review teams, including leads and contract attorneys, ensuring compliance with procedures, productivity benchmarks, and quality standards.
  • Establish and uphold quality control protocols to guarantee consistent, reliable review results.
  • Work closely with technology experts and project teams to deploy efficiency-enhancing solutions such as AI-powered review tools, redaction procedures, and privilege logging.
  • Contribute legal subject matter expertise to support clients' discovery strategy and execution efforts.
  • Monitor project metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering superior results in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

  • Active attorney license in good standing within at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • A minimum of three years managing document review projects in legal service firms, law firms, or related environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of litigation discovery procedures, goals, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated skill in leading and motivating diverse contract attorney groups while adhering to quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Experience developing customized review workflows and quality assurance processes for specific matters.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities conducive to effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities independently or in collaboration.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a solid commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Technical proficiency with document review platforms such as Relativity or equivalent technologies.
  • Interest in adopting technology and innovative practices to enhance legal review workflows.
  • Self-motivated, with strong ownership instincts, problem-solving capabilities, and adaptability to changing environments.
