Job description
Position Overview
Lead and manage the daily operations of the Used Vehicle Retail Sales team, driving sales volume and profitability while ensuring outstanding customer service aligned with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct, mentor, and develop sales supervisors and executives in the used vehicle segment.
- Set and allocate sales targets, regularly assessing and enhancing individual and team performance through coaching and reviews.
- Promote a results-driven, customer-centric sales environment complying with all company policies and standards.
- Meet monthly and yearly sales goals by executing strategic sales plans and closely monitoring showroom activity, lead conversion rates, and closing ratios.
- Manage sales opportunities from initial inquiry through delivery, approving sales transactions within authorized limits while safeguarding profitability.
- Oversee daily sales metrics, implementing corrective measures when targets are not met.
- Supervise used vehicle inventory levels, ensuring availability aligns with sales demands and taking action on aged stock in collaboration with procurement leadership.
- Ensure vehicles are correctly priced, displayed, and ready for sale.
- Address inventory risks proactively with risk escalation and actionable recommendations.
- Guarantee a smooth customer experience from inquiry to vehicle handover, resolving escalated complaints and facilitating complex negotiations.
- Drive improvements in Customer Satisfaction Index results by upholding premium service standards.
- Generate and analyze periodic sales and operational reports, monitoring KPIs such as sales volume, conversion rates, gross profit, inventory age, stock turnover, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Marketing to enhance campaign effectiveness and lead generation, and coordinate with Finance, Sales Support, and Procurement to maintain seamless business operations.
- Eligible for performance-linked incentives based on sales volume, profitability, inventory management, and customer satisfaction achievements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Management, or a related field.
- Between 7 to 10 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 3 years in supervisory or managerial roles.
- Prior exposure to used vehicle retail operations preferred.
