Job description
About The Role
We are seeking a permanent, full-time Retail Products Specialist to join our team. This role is key to supporting the Retail business by ensuring that core transactional processes function effectively and remain well-controlled. The scope covers B2B procurement, intercompany transactions, freight invoicing, and management of D365 systems. The position involves providing expert assistance and promoting standardization organization-wide. You'll collaborate with branch offices and both regional and national management teams to maintain excellent internal customer service and pursue continuous improvements within all Retail Product domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee end-to-end business system processes related to B2B procurement, intercompany matters, freight operations, and different D365 operational modules.
- Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), control frameworks, and user guides.
- Detect inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and defects in systems and processes; lead initiatives to remediate these and foster innovation and ongoing enhancements.
- Conduct comprehensive transactional analyses to determine root causes of issues and implement corrective measures to avoid repetition.
- Assist with transaction processing and invoicing for internal divisions, such as Elders Plant Genetics (EPG).
- Lead the integration and onboarding of suppliers into Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems, broadening messaging capabilities and types.
- Oversee EDI transaction flows, including orders, invoices, and acknowledgments, to ensure precision and timely execution.
- Provide specialist support to solve discrepancies relating to pricing, freight, and scheduling concerns.
- Track transaction patterns to identify systemic problems and areas for process improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven analytical abilities to resolve complex problems effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in agricultural or related industries is desirable.
- Capability to understand and apply financial data proficiently.
- Background working within sales organizations and/or agricultural environments preferred.
- Experience with D365 retail system administration is an advantage.
- Must hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license and have received Q-Fever vaccination or evidence of immunity.
