About the Role
The Retail Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting everyday store operations across a fast-growing retail network. This position keeps operational requests moving smoothly, streamlines processes to reduce repetitive manual work, and helps build scalable systems that support expansion. The role works closely with store teams and cross-functional partners to keep processes consistent, reliable, and easy to repeat as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day retail operations by tracking, resolving, and following up on service tickets, maintenance needs, and store supply requests.
- Act as the main contact for operational questions from store teams, including troubleshooting support and issue escalation.
- Create, update, and maintain clear standard operating procedures for stores across the network.
- Spot workflow gaps, workaround-heavy tasks, and inefficiencies, then suggest and apply practical improvements.
- Assist with new store launches by making sure the necessary tools, systems, and operating processes are in place.
- Work with corporate and field teams to develop solutions that are realistic and scalable.
- Help roll out and improve retail systems and related operational tools.
- Look for ways to automate, simplify, and standardize recurring work.
- Collect input from store teams and use that feedback to refine operational processes.
Experience and Requirements
- More than 2 years of experience in retail operations, consumer goods, or multi-location store environments.
- Proven background supporting operations across several locations or stores.
- Ability to create and implement consistent processes and procedures.
- Experience in a high-growth or expansion-focused retail or consumer goods business is preferred.
- Working knowledge of POS, ERP, and inventory management platforms.
- Exposure to store opening projects or operational change initiatives is preferred.
- Project management experience, whether formal or informal, is an advantage.
