Job description

Role overview

This position is focused on strengthening retail performance through disciplined operations, inventory discipline, planning, governance, and clear communication. The goal is to keep stores well-supported so they can achieve commercial outcomes while delivering a consistently excellent client experience.

Retail operations management

  • Act as the main operational contact for the retail network, including support during urgent business periods outside normal office hours when needed.
  • Make sure retail SOPs, policies, and operating standards are followed consistently across boutiques and counters.
  • Drive compliance work related to audits, health and safety, and operational controls.
  • Carry out store audits and ensure corrective actions are closed on time.
  • Handle operational issues and escalations to reduce disruption to business activity.
  • Coordinate store openings, relocations, refurbishments, and closures.
  • Oversee retail administration such as uniforms, stationery, name cards, and other operating supplies.
  • Support planning and delivery of retail initiatives, operating processes, launches, and events.
  • Prepare and update retail performance reports, including sales, traffic, productivity, and operational dashboards.
  • Identify better ways of working and promote ongoing improvements across the retail network.
  • Manage monthly overtime reports and workforce administration.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new retail employees in partnership with HR and other stakeholders.
  • Support store maintenance and facilities work, including vendor coordination, contract renewals, and issue resolution.

Inventory and supply planning

  • Manage replenishment approaches to keep stock available across all channels.
  • Maintain inventory health by monitoring stock cover, availability, ageing stock, sell-through, and out-of-stock risks.
  • Review sales trends and stock performance to recommend proactive replenishment actions.
  • Handle e-commerce stock allocation and replenishment planning.
  • Support allocation of new products and launch planning to improve commercial results and align with business priorities.
  • Prepare inventory reports and practical insights to guide decisions.
  • Coordinate order processing and day-to-day inventory tasks with internal and external partners.
  • Track trade partner stock levels and follow up on purchase orders so points of sale remain sufficiently stocked.
  • Keep pricing, trade margin, and product master data accurate in the relevant systems.
  • Develop strong working relationships with trade partners to support business goals.
  • Coordinate supply and delivery schedules to ensure products are available without interruption.
  • Manage vendor setup, purchase order creation, invoice handling, and finance submissions.

Retail planning and commercial support

  • Monitor sales, sell-through, productivity, and NSI performance against targets, highlighting risks and opportunities through data-led analysis.
  • Support monthly business reviews and commercial performance analysis.
  • Work with stores and internal partners to improve sales productivity, stock productivity, and operating effectiveness.
  • Support retail expense planning, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Prepare commercial reports such as competitor benchmarking, store rankings, service performance reports, and other ad hoc analyses.
  • Track NSI sell-through results against targets and provide clear, actionable insights on performance gaps and opportunities.
  • Assist with business review preparation and performance analysis.
  • Contribute to monthly and annual retail expense planning and follow-up.
  • Provide reporting support including competitor sales/activity surveys, store ranking reports, and service reports.

Governance and communication

  • Serve as the communication link between head office and the retail community.
  • Lead retail communications, operational updates, and rollout of new initiatives.
  • Ensure retail directives are implemented on time and effectively across all stores.
  • Build strong cross-functional collaboration with Retail, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Visual Merchandising, Store Projects, Marketing, and external partners.
  • Support One-House initiatives through effective stakeholder engagement and alignment.

Retail engagement and activation support

  • Lead planning and delivery of retail engagement and recognition programmes.
  • Support operational readiness for product launches, campaigns, and commercial activations.
  • Ensure stores are prepared for important business moments and client-facing experiences.
  • Track execution quality and review post-event outcomes to identify improvement areas.

Project management

  • Represent Retail Operations in cross-functional project discussions and governance forums.
  • Lead or support assigned projects and transformation initiatives.
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Ensure new initiatives are implemented successfully and integrated into operations.

CSR and sustainability

  • Support rollout of sustainability and CSR initiatives across the retail network.
  • Monitor compliance and reporting needs linked to sustainability programmes.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of sustainable retail practices in stores.
