About the Role
We are looking for a skilled professional to join a large-scale retail transformation project as a Retail OMS + UI Automation + Microservices Testing Engineer. The position involves comprehensive testing of Retail Order Management Systems (OMS), developing UI automation frameworks, validating microservices, and integrating testing processes within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate end-to-end Retail OMS order lifecycle including order capturing, allocation, fulfillment, returns, and cancellations.
- Test interfaces and data flow between OMS, ERP, POS, CRM, and WMS applications.
- Design and maintain UI automation frameworks utilizing tools like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Automate various testing types including UI, API, functional, regression, and performance verification.
- Conduct API and microservices testing encompassing REST APIs, contract testing, and service virtualization.
- Execute performance testing procedures using JMeter.
- Embed automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines through tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Work collaboratively within Agile teams to deliver retail solutions of high quality.
Mandatory Skills
- Experience working with Retail OMS platforms such as Manhattan, IBM Sterling, Oracle OMS, Blue Yonder, or equivalents.
- Proficient with UI automation frameworks including Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Capable of developing comprehensive UI Automation frameworks.
- Expertise in API automation using tools like RestAssured or Postman.
- Thorough understanding of REST API and microservices testing.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing via tools such as JMeter.
- Programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Proficiency in integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of retail business processes and workflows.
Desirable Skills
- Advanced knowledge in Playwright framework usage.
- Familiarity with Pact contract testing.
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, and Splunk.
- Exposure to chaos engineering practices.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum five years of experience in automation testing focused on retail OMS.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
- Proven experience working in Agile development settings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Additional Details
- Work Location: Remote (Anywhere in India)
- Contract Duration: 6 months
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Indian Standard Time
- Notice period: Candidates who can join immediately are preferred
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
