About the Role

This position sits at the intersection of retail transformation, project execution, and strategic client support. The associate will help Simbe deploy and expand its robotics and AI solutions across major retail accounts, contributing to both large chain rollouts and smaller pilot programs, as well as the introduction of new platform capabilities.

The role is well-suited to someone early in their career who has experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or retail operations and wants hands-on exposure to large-scale change programs in a fast-growing technology environment. It offers regular interaction with senior stakeholders at major retailers and the chance to build broader ownership as the client portfolio grows.

Core Responsibilities

The role combines program management, client support, internal coordination, and strategic account planning. It includes keeping multi-workstream initiatives organized, translating between client needs and internal execution, and helping surface the value of Simbe’s solutions through analysis and structured communication.

Program and Project Management

  • Support major retail change initiatives by helping leadership keep delivery aligned with scope, timeline, and objectives.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, trackers, RAID logs, and progress updates, while spotting risks, blockers, and dependencies early.
  • Work with retailer-side project managers and stakeholders across business and technology teams to coordinate milestones, handoffs, and escalations.
  • Assist with launching new product features for customers by coordinating readiness across strategy, product, engineering, and customer success teams.
  • Prepare materials for steering committees, working sessions, and joint business reviews.

Client Pilot and Account Support

  • Provide analytical and project support for active pilots and account engagements to maintain continuity across several client relationships.
  • Monitor pilot performance metrics, summarize findings, and help build expansion proposals and business cases.
  • Act as a day-to-day contact for selected client stakeholders and escalate strategic concerns when needed.

Internal Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with strategy, product, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to keep internal execution aligned with client commitments.
  • Convert client feedback into clear internal action items and turn internal updates or constraints into concise client-facing communication.
  • Help create repeatable workflows, templates, and best practices that can scale as the business grows.

Strategic Account Support

  • Contribute to joint business planning, capability roadmaps, and value realization frameworks for client accounts.
  • Research retail market trends, customer priorities, and potential use cases to inform account strategy.
  • Help quantify and communicate ROI and business impact from Simbe’s solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy and operations, or a similarly demanding environment.
  • Strong analytical and project management capability with the ability to manage several workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders at once.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with proven ownership of trackers, plans, and follow-up items.
  • Clear strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down complex business issues into practical actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for working credibly with both clients and internal teams.
  • Comfort and fluency with modern AI tools, especially using them to improve program management workflows and overall work quality.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and move quickly in a high-growth environment where priorities can change.
  • Balanced mindset that is equally comfortable handling execution details and contributing to broader account strategy.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites periodically, estimated at 20-30% of the time, with possible increases during key periods.

Preferred

  • Experience in retail or grocery organizations.
  • Background supporting senior executives or other client-facing work.
  • Exposure to digital transformation programs within established retail operations.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana and reporting or BI tools.
  • Hands-on experience designing AI agent systems, including setting up agents, creating prompt chains, or connecting AI tools to everyday applications to automate useful work.
