About the Role
The Retail Business Analyst helps the retail organization operate effectively by turning data into clear insights, coordinating communications, and supporting day-to-day execution. Acting as a central connection point between stores and internal partners, this role ensures that field teams receive accurate, timely, and practical information to support decision-making.
This position contributes to the evaluation of retail performance, the spotting of trends and growth opportunities, and the coordination of communications tied to promotions, systems, inventory planning, operational changes, and store execution. The role is important to the overall success of the retail network.

Key Responsibilities
Business analysis and reporting
- Review retail performance on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis, including sales, traffic, conversion, payroll, inventory, and customer behavior.
- Build and update recurring dashboards and reporting tools for retail operations.
- Spot patterns, risks, and opportunities in the business and share practical recommendations with retail leaders.
- Support field leaders with custom reports and ad hoc data requests.
- Track results against sales targets and core performance indicators.
- Flag inventory optimization opportunities to key partners.
- Monitor sell-through and store inventory levels, then communicate needs to Planning & Allocation.
Retail operations support
- Work with cross-functional teams to help deliver retail initiatives, promotions, product launches, and operational changes.
- Assist with the rollout and communication of operational processes that affect stores.
- Support testing, implementation, and adoption of systems and tools.
- Track store feedback and surface operational issues that need resolution.
Project coordination and process improvement
- Support retail projects, including new store openings from planning through launch.
- Help create process documentation and operational best practices.
- Look for ways to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and store execution.
- Join cross-functional meetings and relay decisions and next steps to retail stakeholders.
Store partnership
- Act as a corporate contact for stores on reporting, operational questions, and process execution.
- Develop effective working relationships with District Managers, Area Managers, Store Managers, and internal corporate teams.
- Collect store feedback and share it to support ongoing improvement efforts.
Communications
- Write, edit, and send communications to stores and field leadership.
- Make sure all messages are accurate, prompt, and consistent with company standards.
- Coordinate messaging about promotions, pricing updates, operational changes, training content, and major business initiatives.
- Maintain reference materials and communication tools for field teams.
Success Measures
- Reporting and communications are accurate and delivered on time.
- Insights and recommendations are useful and well-grounded.
- Retail initiatives and operational rollouts are carried out successfully.
- Strong collaboration exists with stores and cross-functional partners.
- Retail processes and field support continue to improve.
- Store execution and business results show positive impact.
Qualifications
A four-year degree is preferred, along with at least 5 years of experience in a Lilly Pulitzer retail store. The role calls for strong attention to detail, sound business judgment, project coordination ability, problem-solving skills, excellent time management, adaptability, strong verbal and written communication, and analytical thinking.
Additional Details
This is a salaried, full-time exempt role and is not eligible for overtime. Standard company benefits are available.
The position follows a structured hybrid schedule based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, with time split between the King of Prussia office and a home office according to the supervisor’s direction.
Some domestic travel to retail stores is required.
Because the business is seasonal, additional and flexible working hours may be needed during peak periods.
