Job description
About Servicon
Servicon is a women-owned, privately held company with more than 50 years of experience delivering environmental services, with a strong emphasis on infection prevention for complex facilities. The organization is known for being quick to adapt and support both its workforce and clients. Its culture is built around caring, with a focus on people, programs, and performance to help create healthier environments where others can thrive.
Role Overview
As a Restroom Cleaner, you will be responsible for keeping restrooms across several buildings at the client site clean, safe, and sanitary. The work follows a fixed cleaning plan and requires consistent attention to quality and safety standards.
This is a full-time first-shift position. Training will be provided.
Schedule and Pay
Hours: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Days: Monday through Friday
Pay rate: $19.40 per hour
Site Requirements
Applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person, meaning U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents are acceptable. Employment is also subject to passing a background check for both hiring and site badging.
Key Duties
You will clean and maintain 17 restrooms each shift across multiple buildings on the site. The position includes disinfecting and wiping down dispensers, partitions, sinks, counters, and mirrors; removing trash and replacing liners; mopping floors using the correct methods, chemicals, and equipment; and cleaning air vents with extendable dusters that reach 3 to 8 feet.
Attention to detail is important, especially in areas that are often overlooked, such as floor drains, which must be cleaned and maintained according to the proper procedures. You will also need to promptly report any maintenance or lighting concerns to a supervisor and follow the cleaning schedule and guidance from the Servicon Operations Team.
Success Factors
The ideal candidate communicates well both verbally and in writing; Spanish language ability is an advantage. You should be able to recognize issues and handle them according to established procedures, manage your time effectively, and shift priorities or tasks when needed. Prior custodial or restroom-cleaning experience of about one year is preferred, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes is important.
Benefits
This role offers a supportive, respectful, and upbeat workplace, training at no cost, the chance to see the impact of your work every day, and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
