Restaurant Utility Worker

About the Role

Zaxbys is looking to add a Restaurant Utility Worker to the team in Clinton, TN. This role keeps the restaurant safe, clean, and operating smoothly through routine upkeep, deep cleaning, and light maintenance of the building and equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Complete all training required by Zax LLC.
• Help maintain a safe, tidy, and well-kept restaurant environment.
• Handle scheduled and unscheduled cleaning tasks along with basic day-to-day maintenance.
• Carry out regular cleaning and preventive care on restaurant equipment.
• Check, run, or test equipment to identify problems.
• Address minor lighting issues and arrange or support small repairs.
• Perform deep-cleaning tasks, including pressure washing both inside and outside the location.
• Read and understand equipment manuals, work orders, and safety or operating instructions.
• Inspect grounds, plumbing, electrical fixtures and outlets, kitchen equipment, and the building for preventive maintenance needs.
• Carry out basic repairs when needed.
• Keep maintenance logs accurate, organized, and up to date.
• Follow all company standards, policies, and procedures, including Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines.
• Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Stay flexible and be ready to go beyond the basic duties of the role when needed.
• Report human resources and risk concerns promptly to the General Manager and District Manager.
• Escalate other issues to a supervisor when appropriate.
• Support any additional tasks required to keep restaurant operations running properly.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Full-time availability must be 32 to 40 hours per week.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong leadership traits, good organization, and the ability to work well with others are expected.

Working Conditions

• Work involves continual sitting, standing, and walking.
• May require stooping, bending, crouching, climbing, and ladder use from time to time.
• Must frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
• Requires constant use of hands and wrists for gripping and detailed work.
• Needs effective communication through speaking, reading, and writing.
• Must be able to see, hear, and respond appropriately to the surroundings.
• Work may take place indoors and outdoors, with exposure to hot and cold conditions as well as food and outdoor allergens.
• The role involves safe use of restaurant tools and equipment, including knives, fryers, and other potentially hazardous equipment.
