Role overview

Gourmet Food Parlour is hiring an energetic, motivated, and ambitious supervisor for its Malahide location. This is a high-traffic restaurant focused on daytime trade, serving breakfast and lunch throughout the week, along with busy weekend brunch service, all from a sought-after seafront setting.

The right person will be confident in people management, comfortable with day-to-day restaurant coordination, and committed to delivering an outstanding guest experience. The role suits someone eager to contribute every day, build the team, develop alongside the business, and handle challenges with a positive attitude.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the restaurant’s daily operations and keep service running smoothly.
  • Handle the restaurant’s day-to-day financial activities.
  • Work to consistently exceed customer expectations.
  • Track and manage stock levels.
  • Organise staff schedules and shift coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant rules and procedures.
  • Maintain strong HACCP and cleaning standards.
  • Support the supervision and growth of team members.
  • Help promote and uphold the restaurant brand.
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to maintain clear communication around service, food quality, and presentation.
  • Work with the operations team on a daily basis.
  • Liaise daily with the reservations team.
  • Partner with key clients to ensure reservations and events run seamlessly.
  • Report to the assistant manager and restaurant manager.

Required competencies

  • Ability to run store operations independently.

Experience and eligibility

Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience at supervisor level and 2 years or more in the hospitality sector. Strong leadership ability is essential, along with a thorough understanding of food hygiene standards and HACCP procedures. Candidates must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
