Position Overview
Join our dedicated team in Letterkenny, Co Donegal as a Residential Rehabilitation Assistant where your role will be central to helping adults with acquired brain injuries achieve enhanced independence, confidence, and autonomy. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to person-centered care, assisting individuals in building daily living skills and engaging in purposeful activities aimed at their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster trusting and respectful relationships while consistently supporting clients.
- Assist in developing and implementing personalized rehabilitation plans.
- Promote independence through aiding with daily living skills, personal care, and targeted activities.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, actively participate in meetings, and document progress using IPlanit.
- Comply with professional standards, policies, and workplace safety procedures.
- Support clients in budgeting, managing finances, and navigating disability benefits in alignment with organizational policies.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy working environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- A relevant Health or Social Care qualification at QQI Level 5 or higher.
- Possession of a full driving license.
- Person-centred values with strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Basic competency with IT systems for communication and organization.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Experience in residential or community care environments.
- Background in supporting persons with disabilities or illness.
Employment Details
- Contract types: Permanent full-time (39 hours/week) and relief contracts.
- Salary range: €31,550 to €45,381 annually, prorated for a 39-hour workweek, dependent on experience.
