Residential Care Associate I

About the Opportunity

ColumbiaCare Services is seeking a dedicated Residential Care Associate I to join the team at The Beckett Center in Medford, Oregon. In this role, you'll offer crucial companionship and support to adults going through mental health crises, helping them with their day-to-day routines and encouraging independence. Your efforts will be integral to our mission of elevating the wellbeing and daily functioning of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities, promoting skill development and independence.
• Help with meal preparation, serving, clean-up, and grocery shopping, actively involving clients in these processes.
• Administer prescribed medications and support medical care tasks under RN supervision.
• Provide transportation for clients to appointments and program activities as required.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all services rendered.
• Maintain compliance with established productivity and reporting standards.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a full-time position working Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Compensation ranges from $21.42 to $22.07 per hour, based on experience and credentials. Additional differentials include:

• $3.00/hr premium for night (NOC) shifts (10:00 PM–8:30 AM, if 2.5+ hours fall in this window).
• $2.00/hr bonus for shifts in designated secure programs.
• 5% salary increase for qualifying bilingual staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior experience in caregiving and/or behavioral health (personal or professional) is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to helping people achieve personal goals and complete activities of daily living.
• Valid driver's license (from applicant’s state) and safe driving record; must obtain an Oregon license within 30 days if necessary.
• Ability to pass a DHS background check.
• Physically able to frequently stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, lift or move up to 40 pounds, and perform de-escalation/CPR techniques as needed.
• Completion of crisis de-escalation and CPR training upon hire.
• Must be at least 18 years old (in accordance with OAR 309-035-0135).

Professional Development
