The team is guided by these core values: Ownership, Collaboration, Gratitude, Communication, and Balance.
Role Overview
In this part-time residential support role, you will work in a safe housing program serving survivors of sex trafficking in Manatee County. The position focuses on hands-on assistance with care planning, transportation, resource navigation, and day-to-day support to help create a secure and compassionate living environment.
Key Duties
- Support resident assessments and help develop treatment and service plans that address legal, medical, housing, and mental health needs.
- Drive residents safely to appointments, jobs, classes, and other community-based activities.
- Keep client records current and accurate in the services database.
- Take part in mandatory meetings and trainings, including ongoing learning related to trauma, substance use, and sex trafficking.
- Help maintain a residential setting that reflects Christ-like care, dignity, and grace.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Criminology, or another behavioral science discipline is preferred; relevant experience may be accepted in place of formal education. Prior experience with trauma-informed care, substance abuse treatment, or support services for survivors of exploitation is an advantage. Cross-cultural experience is also beneficial.
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. The schedule must be flexible, with availability on weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
Physical and Work Conditions
This role may require lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds. Travel may also be part of the job. The work environment is described as having a moderate noise level.
