Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Resident Regional Director to manage one or more Environmental Services hospital departments in Duarte, CA. This role entails overseeing Department Managers, scheduling staff, setting work standards, conducting audits, managing inventory and equipment, budgeting, employee evaluations, training, and ensuring cost-effective service delivery in compliance with hospital contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage expenses and adhere to the department operating budget.
  • Recommend and control procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive administrative and regulatory records.
  • Organize, coordinate, and supervise departmental activities and workflow standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication with hospital clients and personnel, ensuring contract requirements are met.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain sanitary, orderly environments.
  • Promote the company culture, values, and philosophy actively.
  • Drive achievement of hospital goals and objectives, demonstrating quality leadership.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Customer service-oriented with outstanding communication abilities.
  • Proficient in healthcare environmental services including floorcare, linen management, payroll, P&L, training, and union relations.
  • Analytical skills to interpret financial and operational data combined with solid business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong focus on quality and service.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate public speaking skills.
  • Self-directed with a sense of urgency.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless medically or religiously exempt, with proof required.

Education & Experience

High school diploma required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Prior healthcare Environmental Services experience, including union involvement and staff engagement, is essential.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary between $140,000 and $150,000 depending on qualifications.
  • Possible bonus or commission based on role specifics.
