Job description

Position Summary

St. Regis Residences offers a refined residential take on the brand’s hallmark luxury service. This role blends the signature Butler approach with Bell Attendant support in a private residence setting, where service is personalized, discreet, and attentive to long-term resident relationships. The Butler–Bell Attendant acts as a luxury service ambassador for the community and supports all owners and residents through a shared-service model rather than being tied to specific individuals.

The position is focused on delivering elevated residential experiences while preserving privacy, continuity, and consistency across the property.

Resident Service and Personalization

  • Provide tailored, high-touch support to residents and their guests in line with luxury Butler standards adapted for residential living.
  • Develop lasting familiarity with resident preferences so service can be proactively adjusted over time.
  • Assist residents during arrivals, departures, longer stays, and special service requests with discretion and continuity.

Arrival, Departure and Bell Support

  • Welcome residents and visitors on arrival and see them off on departure.
  • Handle luggage movement, storage, and transport to and from the residences or service areas.
  • Support residents and guests coming in and out of the property, including coordination for vehicles, parking, and valet assistance.
  • Receive, track, and deliver parcels, groceries, food orders, and other packages to residences in a discreet and efficient manner.
  • Introduce residence features, amenities, and available services when needed, especially for new owners or guests.

Residential Coordination and Operations

  • Work as part of a shared Butler–Bell team to ensure fair and consistent coverage across the community.
  • Coordinate day-to-day service activities with colleagues to maintain seamless service at all times.
  • Ensure relevant departments are informed and prepared to respond to resident requests without delay.
  • Stay aware of resident movements and special needs while fully protecting privacy and confidentiality.

Standards, Safety and Professional Conduct

  • Follow St. Regis brand expectations, residential rules, and community by-laws consistently.
  • Maintain polished grooming, proper uniform presentation, and professional communication at all times.
  • Help maintain a safe workplace by complying with policies and promptly reporting incidents or unsafe conditions.
  • Stay alert to unauthorized or unwelcome persons in the residential property.
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness, discretion, and professionalism in every interaction.

Physical and Operational Demands

  • Remain on your feet and mobile throughout the shift, including walking and moving around the property.
  • Carry out physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items up to 50 lbs independently, and heavier loads with support.
  • Use stairs, ramps, and uneven or slippery surfaces when required.
  • Take on other reasonable duties assigned by management in support of residential operations.

Residential Environment Notes

  • Partner closely with the appointed Community Management Company (Strata) to support aligned community operations.
  • Work in line with applicable community rules, by-laws, and governance requirements for residential properties.
  • Approach service with a resident-first mindset centered on long-term relationships rather than short-stay guest handling.
  • Protect confidentiality at the highest level, reflecting the private nature of residential living.
  • Adjust service delivery and decisions to suit residential operations, which differ from hotel-style service.

Qualifications and Experience

A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred. Prior background in luxury hospitality, branded residences, private clubs, or similarly high-end service settings is an advantage. The role also calls for strong interpersonal abilities and a genuine commitment to personalized service.

Applicants need at least 6 months of relevant experience in hospitality or another service-focused role. Clear, professional English communication is required, and additional languages are beneficial. Candidates must also be physically capable of carrying out the duties described above.

Employer Commitment

The employer is an equal opportunity organization that values different backgrounds and promotes access to opportunity for all associates. Employment decisions are made without discrimination on protected grounds, including disability, veteran status, and any other basis protected by law.
