Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Research Scientist with robust expertise in cellular and molecular biology to contribute to the advancement of siRNA-based therapeutics. The position involves leading experimental workflows from siRNA drug candidate screening through in vivo testing and optimization projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening of siRNA drug candidates, identify hits, and optimize leads utilizing advanced cellular and molecular biology techniques.
- Apply methodologies including mammalian cell culture, in vitro transfection assays, cell-based functional assays, and quantitative PCR for drug evaluation.
- Support in vivo studies involving mouse dosing and sample analysis to assess drug candidate efficacy and safety.
- Drive innovation to refine and extend the capabilities of the siRNA research platform.
- Produce thorough technical documentation and effectively communicate findings internally and with external collaborators.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Master’s degree with at least 2 years of professional experience or a PhD with a minimum of 1 year of post-degree experience in cellular or molecular biology or a related discipline, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Demonstrated mastery of cell culture techniques, cell-based assays, and qPCR is essential.
- Experience with RNA sequencing, library preparation, and immunoprecipitation-based protocols is advantageous.
- Familiarity with animal models including capabilities in dosing, animal handling, and necropsy is preferred.
- Exhibit strong experimental rigor and the capacity to produce reliable and interpretable results that advance research goals.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to contribute constructively within team projects.
