About the Role

Join the Charité - University Medicine Berlin as a Research Associate engaging in translational lymphoma research focused on hematology and oncology. This role is a part-time, time-limited position situated at Campus Benjamin Franklin, Steglitz, emphasizing cancer biology and immunotherapy development.

Responsibilities

As a Ph.D. candidate, you will investigate and characterize new molecular targets aiming to enhance cellular immunotherapies for aggressive B-cell lymphomas. The research pathways include exploring resistance to CAR T-cell and bispecific antibody therapies and developing novel immunotherapeutic methods for preclinical validation. Your duties involve utilizing advanced molecular biology methods and genetic tools including CRISPR/Cas9, flow cytometry, protein biochemistry, and next-generation sequencing, alongside establishing and analyzing cellular and animal models.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, Pharmacy, Bioengineering, or similar disciplines. A strong background in molecular and cell biology is essential, with beneficial experience in pre-clinical models and analyzing data from NGS platforms. Fluent English is mandatory; knowledge of German is advantageous. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are important, coupled with prior involvement in competitive multidisciplinary research environments. Familiarity with recent studies through specific scientific publications is expected.
