About the Role
This position is for an inquisitive and detail-focused Research Analyst / Market Intelligence Analyst / Data Specialist to support business decision-making through data, research, and insight generation. The role is based in Australia and is offered remotely to candidates located within Australia.
You will examine market, industry, customer, and business information to uncover trends, evaluate competition, and produce practical recommendations that help improve growth and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Research markets, industries, competitors, and commercial opportunities.
- Gather information from internal and external sources, then check and interpret it carefully.
- Build reports, dashboards, presentations, and clear business insights for decision-makers.
- Track market changes and share recommendations with stakeholders.
- Study customer behavior, market performance, and business metrics to identify patterns.
- Assist with forecasting, strategic planning, and business intelligence work.
- Protect data quality, consistency, and reporting accuracy.
- Work with teams across functions on research and analytics assignments.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, excellent attention to detail, and a solid ability to interpret data accurately. You should be comfortable working independently, managing several priorities at once, and meeting deadlines consistently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, along with a genuine interest in research, problem-solving, and turning raw data into useful recommendations.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Marketing, Finance, or a closely related area is preferred. Experience in research, market analysis, business intelligence, or another data-focused role is considered an advantage.
Experience with large datasets and reporting tools is helpful, and familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytics platforms will be regarded as a plus.
