Job description
About the Company
PFD Food Services has built its reputation over 81 years by continually improving how it meets customer needs. The business has grown quickly and now supplies a broad mix of dry goods, frozen and chilled items, fresh seafood and meat, confectionery, paper goods, and cleaning products. Its stronger partnership with Woolworths Group has supported service quality for customers and suppliers, and Woolworths’ full ownership in 2024 created further opportunities for growth, shared expertise, and long-term success.
About the Role
This full-time, on-site position in Hobart, Tasmania runs Monday to Friday. Reporting to the TAS Replenishment Manager, you will take ownership of replenishment activity for the TAS department, helping ensure stock levels stay accurate and operations keep moving. The role suits someone dependable, inquisitive, and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly.
If you enjoy working with numbers, have a sharp eye for detail, and like being the person others rely on to get things done, this could be a strong fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Use the TOM system to raise daily stock orders based on sales performance and current inventory levels.
- Coordinate with key suppliers to ensure product availability is maintained.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify any supply gaps or risks.
- Handle email enquiries from internal teams and stakeholders.
- Manage a large volume of administrative tasks and inbox traffic while staying organised.
- Prepare reports and interpret data to support decision-making.
- Use historical patterns to anticipate future demand; pricing discussions are not part of the role.
- Assist with broader TAS stock-planning activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in replenishment, inventory planning, or a similar stock-focused role.
- Strong organisational habits and a methodical way of working.
- Good problem-solving ability, with a proactive approach to preventing stock issues.
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence in reporting and data analysis.
- The ability to stay composed when managing competing deadlines, inbox pressure, and last-minute changes.
- Comfort working in an admin-heavy position where precision matters.
Why Join PFD
- Competitive pay with superannuation and additional staff benefits.
- Discounts on staff purchases, plus access to reduced rates on accommodation, health insurance, and banking products.
- Extra perks including discounted food, travel, entertainment, gym membership, staff parking, and more.
- A supportive, close-knit team that enjoys working together both inside and outside work.
- Exposure to multiple parts of the business, including operations, IT, and sales.
- Opportunity for long-term development and possible movement within the replenishment team or across the wider business as it grows.

Application and Screening
Applicants are expected to submit an updated resume along with a cover letter. As part of the hiring process, candidates must agree to pre-employment checks, which may include a medical assessment with drug and alcohol testing, a National Police History Check, a Working With Children/Vulnerable Groups Check, and a Licence Validation/Demerit Point Check.
