Role Overview

Veolia is seeking a seasoned Renewals Coordinator to spearhead the planning, scheduling, and execution of the Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) 3 Waters Renewal Programme. Reporting to the Renewals Manager, you will oversee a group of renewal experts and field operatives to successfully complete yearly renewal projects on the 3 Waters infrastructure, an essential public utility serving the Queenstown Lakes area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead programming, coordination, and delivery of the annual QLDC 3 Waters renewal projects.
  • Scope and manage renewal work packages from early planning stages through to project completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Veolia and QLDC regarding all renewal activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with QLDC stakeholders.
  • Track and report on project progress, budgets, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Provide mentorship and support to the Veolia 3 Waters Renewals team.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Foster continuous improvement initiatives within the program and among team members.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years managing brownfield infrastructure projects or renewal programs.
  • In-depth understanding of 3 Waters infrastructure and the processes for its renewal.
  • Proven track record in budget management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with project management frameworks and tools, including project management software and Google Suite.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working with New Zealand local authorities or utility companies.
  • Knowledge of NZS 3910 standards and relevant New Zealand regulations.
  • Experience with asset management systems and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
