Role Overview
Join a vibrant creative team as a contract-based video editor focused on music-themed vlog content and social media videos. This role is tailored for editors who have a passion for storytelling enriched with dynamic pacing and cinematic-style edits typical of YouTube content creators. You'll produce diverse video projects such as tour vlogs, behind-the-scenes footage, performance recaps, music videos featuring lip-syncing, and short clips optimized for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. This remote and part-time position could evolve to full-time as workload increases, offering a significant opportunity to develop alongside a prominent music act and shape their digital footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and assemble a range of videos including tour vlogs, behind-the-scenes content, and live show captures
- Create captivating short-form videos specifically crafted for social media distribution
- Design visually appealing thumbnails and incorporate motion graphics, textual elements, and smooth transitions
- Enhance videos through color correction and sound design to elevate storytelling impact
- Remain abreast of social media trends to adjust content approaches effectively
- Work in close cooperation with the creative team to ensure visual style consistency across all content
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience editing story-driven, cinematic YouTube or social media videos
- Proficient use of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other relevant editing software
- Strong understanding of pacing, narrative flow, and visual aesthetics
- Skillful in music editing, sound design, and motion graphics creation
- Capability to design striking thumbnails and perform advanced color grading
- Knowledge of current social media algorithms, trends, and platform-specific formats
- Excellent communication abilities and self-motivated in a remote work environment
- Availability for part-time freelance engagement with an option to expand to full-time
