About Trainwell

Trainwell is a nationwide training organization that supports high-performing insurance agencies. The company helps agency owners increase revenue through stronger sales systems, accountability structures, and performance coaching. As client demand has grown, agencies have repeatedly asked for help with hiring, prompting the launch of a dedicated recruiting division. Trainwell is now hiring a motivated recruiter to help build and scale this service.

The Role

This position is not an internal HR function. You will be recruiting on behalf of insurance agency clients rather than hiring for Trainwell itself. You will step in after the founding recruiting lead has created the initial structure, then take ownership of execution and growth. The focus will be on managing many open positions, delivering strong candidates to agency owners, and helping improve the systems that support the division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run recruitment from start to finish for a range of roles, including insurance sales producers, account managers, and hybrid customer service positions; sourcing will need to go beyond applicants who respond to job posts.
  • Act as the main point of contact for agency owners, aligning on hiring needs, sharing market feedback, and guiding them through the recruitment process.
  • Assess candidates for alignment with company culture, sales potential, and insurance-related technical knowledge, and help coordinate structured group interviews with agency owners.
  • Support and improve recruiting workflows, documentation, and internal systems while tracking hiring KPIs and placement outcomes for quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in an agency environment or a fast-paced, high-volume corporate setting; experience hiring for sales or insurance positions is a strong advantage.
  • Strong organizational ability and a metrics-oriented approach, with a solid understanding of recruiting funnels and how to keep candidates moving without losing quality.
  • Comfort communicating directly with business owners, setting expectations, and professionally challenging timelines or hiring standards when needed.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while managing several open requisitions across different time zones.
  • Interest in building and improving a growing recruiting function, with a mindset focused on refining processes and scaling what works.

Additional Information
