About Talkiatry
Talkiatry is a clinician-led virtual psychiatry practice that merges the dependable environment of a hospital setting with the clinical independence commonly found in private practice. It aims to increase access to mental health care while supporting both clinicians and patients.
Role Overview and Daily Responsibilities
- This position offers 100% remote outpatient psychiatric care.
- Treat patients with low to moderate acuity disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, and PTSD.
- Care spans all age groups, including children (treated by board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists only), adults, and elderly patients.
- Sessions are structured as 60-minute initial intakes and 30-minute follow-ups.
- No duties include inpatient care, intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization, or crisis coverage.
- An internal referral network to therapists is available.
- Full operational support is provided, covering scheduling, billing, patient intake coordination, and licensing assistance.
Clinical Autonomy and Scheduling Flexibility
- Psychiatrists control their own working schedule and weekly availability.
- Session lengths adhere to clinical standards and may be adjusted within those guidelines.
- Patient caseloads are customized based on individual preferences and professional criteria.
- Clinicians operate without pressure to shorten appointments or increase patient volume.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual targeted earnings range from $325,000 to $375,000+, including base salary and monthly productivity incentives guaranteed during the first six months.

- Malpractice insurance is fully paid by the employer (occurrence-based coverage).

Candidate Requirements
- Must be a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist (MD or DO).
- Possess an active, unrestricted medical license; support available for obtaining multi-state licensing.
- Interested in outpatient psychiatry delivered fully via telehealth.
- Comfortable adopting streamlined clinical technologies.
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
