Project overview

An 81-minute animated feature is looking for an experienced composer to develop an original music score that strengthens the film’s emotional tone and story flow. The project uses advanced animation methods and AI, and the soundtrack is intended to accentuate key scenes rather than play continuously throughout the full runtime.

The selected composer will work remotely and partner closely with the production team to understand the film’s mood, rhythm, and themes. You’ll be expected to assess the likely time needed to complete the score based on the project scope.

Deliverables

Create and produce an original musical score for an 81-minute animated film, concentrating on scenes where music can make the biggest impact.
Work with the producer to pinpoint the moments that need musical support.
Provide polished audio files in standard industry formats ready for post-production use.
Update and refine compositions based on feedback from the production team.
Make sure all music is original and properly cleared for use in the film.

Requirements

Demonstrated background in composing for film, animation, or other visual storytelling formats.
A strong portfolio that shows the ability to write expressive, emotionally driven scores.
Skill in using digital audio workstations and music production tools.
Comfort working independently and communicating clearly in a remote setup.
Good planning and time-estimation abilities for project-based work.
Experience with scoring animated content is an added advantage.
