Remote Arabic Telephone Interpreter | Based in United Arab Emirates

Job Summary

We are seeking Arabic Telephone Interpreters to join our expanding network for remote, long-term assignments. The role involves delivering simultaneous interpretation services over the phone between Arabic and English for a variety of fields including healthcare, financial services, government, immigration, and social services.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate clear communication between Arabic and English speakers during phone conversations.
• Interpret calls that may cover both straightforward and complex subject matter across multiple sectors.
• Maintain neutrality and objectivity during interpretations.
• Follow client instructions meticulously to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

• Fluent or native-level proficiency in Arabic and English.
• Exceptional listening, memory retention, and note-taking abilities.
• Ability to stay impartial and detached throughout the interpreting process.
• Strong adherence to client guidelines.
• English proficiency at C1 or C2 level.
• Prior interpreting experience is beneficial but not required.

Work Environment & Technical Needs

• Fully remote role, allowing work from home or a private office.
• Quiet work environment essential for clear interpreting.
• Equipment needed includes a laptop or PC, stable internet connection, and a wired headset with boom microphone (wireless headsets or earbuds are prohibited).
• Recommended: use of a unidirectional microphone with noise-cancellation capabilities.
• Speaker mode usage is not allowed during calls.

Additional Information

• Monthly invoicing is mandatory for all interpreters.
