Role Overview
The Relationship Manager, Private Wealth will focus on acquiring high-net-worth clients, growing assets under management, and driving revenue through tailored financial solutions and strong relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet personal targets tied to new high-net-worth client acquisition, assets under management growth, and revenue generation.
- Reach out to and build relationships with prospects from personal networks and other available sources, including wealthy individuals and corporate clients.
- Create and present customised sales decks, proposals, and product recommendations based on client requirements.
- Market brokerage offerings, equities, mutual funds, structured products, derivatives, and private banking solutions.
- Research markets and client segments to uncover potential business opportunities and areas for growth.
- Handle administrative work such as account opening support, documentation, and compliance verification.
- Attend client meetings, events, and roadshows to generate leads and deepen client relationships.
- Work closely with internal teams across risk, operations, finance, and compliance to ensure a seamless client experience.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a closely related field is required; CFA, FRM, or CMFAS credentials are advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development roles serving high-net-worth individuals, private investment firms, or family offices, with exposure to trading, investment products, platforms, or solutions.
- A strong sales record in previous positions will be considered a major advantage.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and analytical abilities are essential.
- Solid understanding of financial products such as equities, futures/options, and wealth management solutions is highly desirable.
- Experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office tools will be useful.
- Knowledge of KYC, AML, and broader compliance standards is important; relevant regulatory certifications are a plus.
- The ideal candidate should be professional, client-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop a career in wealth management.
- Mandarin language ability is preferred because the role involves frequent interaction with Mandarin-speaking clients.
