Job description
Role Overview
The Relationship Manager in the Transportation Group is responsible for sourcing and processing Commercial Vehicle Finance business within assigned territories, focusing on business expansion, customer acquisition, and meeting monthly targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate business opportunities from the open market, dealers, and branches.
- Identify prospects in the Construction Equipment segment through client and dealer interactions.
- Manage the complete loan lifecycle from application to disbursement ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Foster relationships with branch teams to improve sourcing effectiveness.
- Regularly engage in joint loan promotional events (loan melas).
- Frequent visits to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and dealer outlets to strengthen networks.
- Handle documentation related to disbursement and loan renewal processes.
- Provide comprehensive support to customers sourced including after-sales services.
- Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities such as Current Account Savings Account (CASA), Fastag, and insurance products.
- Monitor and resolve deferred loans and probable defaults (PDD).
- Conduct follow-ups with customers who have overdue EMIs and interest payments.
- Adapt processes and control parameters as dictated by business needs.
- Execute other duties as assigned by senior management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate degree required; postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication and relationship management abilities.
- Sound financial acumen with conflict resolution skills.
- Positive attitude and the ability to work extensively in the field.
Stakeholders Involved
Collaboration with manufacturers, customers, dealers, DSAs, insurance vendors, branch banking teams, operations, policy, and legal departments is key for this role.
