About the Role
Auckland Council's Building Consent team is seeking a Regulatory Support Officer for a fixed-term, full-time position at their Manukau hub, extending until November 2026. This role involves providing essential process support to ensure the efficient operation of the building consent department's end-to-end consenting processes. It is a customer-facing position within a dedicated and collaborative team environment, focused on delivering high-quality service. The role operates in a demanding setting with tight deadlines, requiring a proactive approach to achieve quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate comprehensive end-to-end support for all applications within the Building Consent framework.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Maintain the integrity and consistency of regulatory consent data.
- Manage and resolve customer inquiries and complaints concerning financial matters, invoicing, and regulatory applications to ensure positive resolutions.
About You
The ideal candidate will be technologically adept, capable of quickly learning new systems, and possess prior administrative experience. Strong communication abilities are crucial for success in this customer-centric role. A proactive mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) are highly valued. Familiarity with building legislation and prior experience with SAP would be advantageous.

Additional Information
