Regulatory Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable Regulatory Specialist with expertise in New Zealand's regulatory environment to ensure compliance across our dairy product range concerning composition, labelling, and export standards. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a forward-thinking attitude.

There are two openings available: a permanent full-time position and a 12-month fixed-term contract, both located at our Dunsandel facility.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver daily regulatory guidance related to product composition, labelling, and market access.
• Lead regulatory assistance during new product development initiatives.
• Manage export and import regulations to facilitate entry into new international markets.
• Interpret regulatory requirements for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate regulatory registration procedures and cross-functional collaboration.
• Track and communicate updates in domestic and international regulatory frameworks.
• Foster strong partnerships with regulatory bodies such as MPI and industry organizations.
• Offer pragmatic, solution-oriented regulatory advice across diverse product lines.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings at least three years of experience within the dairy sector, with a solid grasp of New Zealand's domestic regulatory landscape. They demonstrate confidence handling changing standards locally and globally, maintain excellent cross-team relationships, and deliver clear regulatory advice under fast-paced conditions.

Skills and Experience

• Proficient understanding of New Zealand’s regulations pertaining to dairy products.
• Experience with global regulatory requirements, especially for dairy and infant formula sectors.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to decode complex regulations and translate these into actionable guidance.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of juggling multiple priorities.
