About the role
The Compliance function combines regulatory knowledge with data-led thinking to ensure products and internal practices meet legal and policy obligations while still creating value. The team works in a dynamic digital environment and focuses on practical, scalable ways to manage conduct risk.
This role is for a Regulatory Compliance Manager responsible for employee and talent regulatory frameworks. The position supports compliance across internal people practices and provides oversight of the related obligations and controls.
What you'll do
- Monitor and oversee obligations tied to employee- and talent-related processes, including statements of responsibilities, remuneration, malus, and clawback.
- Maintain strong and accurate regulatory mapping.
- Build policy frameworks from the ground up, then evaluate and refine them as needed.
- Assess 1LoD compliance approvals for employee and talent initiatives and provide practical feedback.
- Help ensure a robust training programme for employees and talent topics across the organisation.
- Support horizon scanning across the relevant geographies.
- Review and question 1LoD incident handling to make sure remediation is effective.
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of experience in a regulatory compliance role, ideally within consulting, an internal compliance team, or a regulator.
- Deep knowledge of employee and talent obligations, including accountability regimes, SMCR, EMD, MLR, COI, and related areas.
- A university degree in STEM, business, or finance.
- Experience carrying out regulatory gap assessments.
- Hands-on familiarity with policy development and implementation.
- A clear understanding of how compliance risk interacts with business risk.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, juggle multiple priorities, and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for working with internal stakeholders and regulators.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication abilities.
- Fluency in English.
