Job description

Role overview

As a Registered Nurse at Oceania’s Franklin Village site in Pukekohe, you’ll work within a nurse-led service where you can practise across the full scope of your registration. You’ll use your clinical knowledge and sound judgment to deliver well-rounded care, support residents in their daily lives, and form trusted relationships with residents and their families.

Key duties

  • Oversee residents’ day-to-day care requirements while encouraging and supporting other team members.
  • Carry out nursing assessments and deliver interventions independently as well as in collaboration with others.
  • Use professional judgement to make important decisions about resident care and act with confidence and autonomy.
  • Develop positive relationships with residents, their families, and community allied health professionals.
  • Provide direction, support, and leadership to care staff and wider team members.

What you need

  • A valid New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
  • A strong focus on delivering high-quality service.
  • Prior experience with clinical systems.
  • InterRAI experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Good time management and organisation.
  • The ability to coach and mentor colleagues.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts.

Shift and pay details

  • Hourly pay ranges from $37.38 to $53.22, depending on experience.
  • The roster runs fortnightly and includes weekend and night shifts.
