About MinIO
MinIO leads the high-performance object storage industry and is behind the world’s fastest and most widely utilized object store. Their technology supports the production infrastructure of over half of the Fortune 500 companies, including nine of the ten largest global automotive manufacturers and all ten of the largest U.S. banks. Their enterprise product, AIStor, is designed to efficiently manage modern AI and analytics workloads scaling from terabytes to exabytes within a unified namespace.
Role Overview
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and technically skilled Regional Sales Manager to spearhead MinIO's growth in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position focuses on the Public Sector and Critical National Infrastructure/Utilities segments. The successful candidate will combine deep technical understanding of storage, data infrastructure, data lake/lakehouse architectures, AI/ML, and HPC environments with a proven record of securing large enterprise software contracts. Experience competing with entrenched legacy storage providers and thriving in dynamic startup settings is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new enterprise business through active prospecting, leveraging networks, and creative outreach to generate and close high-value sales opportunities.
- Clearly communicate how MinIO's solutions transform data infrastructure, AI/ML, and HPC workloads beyond incremental improvements, translating technical features into business advantages.
- Manage all stages of the sales process independently, securing large and enterprise software agreements.
- Compete against traditional storage providers by highlighting the benefits of cloud-native, S3-compatible object storage tailored for modern workloads.
- Educate customers about AI infrastructure enhancement and data architecture modernization, moving discussions past simple product comparisons toward strategic transformation.
- Create detailed business cases and ROI analyses demonstrating quantifiable benefits, risk reduction, and sound financial justifications.
- Develop and implement partner-driven, co-selling strategies by collaborating closely with channel and alliance partners to maximize territory coverage and accelerate deal closure.
- Work cross-functionally with Solutions Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to customize solutions, oversee proofs of concept, and ensure customers experience seamless engagement.
- Maintain strong pipeline discipline with accurate forecasting and clear account plans to promote consistent and scalable revenue growth.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 15 years of extensive enterprise sales experience in Public Sector and Critical National Infrastructure/Utilities, focused on managing and closing large accounts and deals.
- Expertise in storage technologies, data infrastructure, data lakehouse concepts, AI/ML, and HPC environments, with the ability to discuss technical topics with key stakeholders and translate them into business impact.
- Proven success in developing partner-led sales strategies and expanding market reach through channel and alliance collaborations.
- Strong leadership and vision in transformative sales, capable of influencing buyer perspectives and offering unique market insights.
- Track record of effectively competing against and replacing legacy storage vendors with compelling value propositions.
- Experience working in entrepreneurial or startup settings, demonstrating adaptability, creativity, and persistence.
- Ability to challenge conventional thinking and educate customers, unlocking new business opportunities through a challenger sales approach.
- Well-established network and deep understanding of the territory, including key decisions makers and influencers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills, engaging technical professionals and executives alike.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
