About the Role
A remarkable opportunity awaits a committed Regional Operations Director to lead a group of care homes in Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex. The role demands hands-on leadership aimed at fostering a culture of premium, person-focused care alongside strong commercial success. The employer is a healthcare organization specializing in nursing, residential, dementia, and respite care, operating a portfolio of newly built care homes that uphold luxurious care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee strategic and operational management for all care facilities and services across the East region.
- Mentor and support Operations Managers to ensure exemplary care and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Guarantee that all homes achieve or maintain Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings of Good or Outstanding.
- Lead continuous enhancements in care quality, resident satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
- Assume accountability for regional occupancy, revenue generation, and EBITDA goals.
- Manage budgets effectively, pursuing efficiency improvements without jeopardizing care quality.
- Assist in recruitment, staff retention, and succession planning for Home and Operations Managers.
- Promote a supportive, inclusive workplace culture enhancing staff wellbeing and minimizing turnover.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Extensive senior operational leadership experience within care homes or broader healthcare sectors.
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple sites or services concurrently.
- Strong expertise in CQC standards and adult social care regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to drive quality improvements and address underperformance challenges.
- Commercially savvy with direct experience in budget and profit & loss responsibility.
- Exceptional leadership skills focusing on talent development beyond performance management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Experience at a regional director level or its equivalent.
- Knowledge of the care market and local commissioning frameworks.
- Experience supporting new facility openings or acquisitions is advantageous.
- Mandatory to have a Registered Manager qualification or an equivalent clinical/care leadership background.
Compensation and Benefits
- An attractive annual salary of GBP 85000.
- Permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
