  • Oversee coordination of support functions including SHEQ, communications, trade compliance, CSR, procurement, and transformation to clarify roles and align priorities with business needs.
  • Champion preventative, risk-based health, safety, environment, and quality practices fostering cross-entity collaboration and visibility of SHEQ risks.
  • Assure clear and consistent messaging on governance, compliance, CSR, and transformation initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead trade compliance efforts such as sanctions screening, export controls, facilitating trainings, escalations, and investigations.
  • Drive procurement governance by enhancing supplier integrity, ethical sourcing practices, third-party risk management, and supplier due diligence processes.
  • Align corporate social responsibility programs alongside business goals and community contributions; advocate for ESG, BBBEE, employment equity, and localisation frameworks.
  • Build regional harmonisation through consolidating efforts, creating communities of practice, improving reporting, and streamlining support functions for continuous enhancement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Governance, Risk, Business Administration, Law, Compliance, Procurement, Communication, SHEQ, or Sustainability is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience encompassing governance, compliance, SHEQ, CSR, ESG, procurement, or responsible business functions.

  • Knowledgeable in trade compliance, procurement governance, ESG standards, BBBEE, and localisation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement, reporting, and providing advisory support at leadership levels.

Core Competencies

  • Strong governance and risk management mindset with ability to convert compliance requirements into actionable business processes.
