Job description
Role Overview
The Regional Executive Vice President is a senior operating leader responsible for a company’s performance within a specific region, such as North America, Asia-Pacific, Greater China, or Europe. This role owns regional execution, business growth, organizational leadership, and overall profit delivery.
Typically, this executive reports directly to the global CEO and Chief Operating Officer and oversees sales, marketing, operations, customer service, supply chain, and administrative functions across the region. It is a key leadership role within the company’s worldwide operating structure.
Core Responsibilities
Own the region’s business performance and ensure execution against annual goals. Lead regional planning, drive revenue and profit outcomes, and strengthen market position. Manage regional P&L, improve ROI, and support expansion into new markets.
Translate headquarters strategy into regional action plans, adapt approaches to local market conditions, and lead major initiatives and growth programs. Build competitive advantage by identifying opportunities for development, deepening relationships with major industry customers, and expanding business presence.
Direct regional sales efforts, implement target-based sales systems, manage key accounts, close important contracts, and improve customer retention and satisfaction. Support the growth of strategic customer relationships and overall client business.
Improve operating systems and business efficiency across the region, reduce operating costs, strengthen service quality, manage budgets and resources, control operational risks, and improve asset utilization.
Lead senior regional functions and support organizational development through leadership hiring, succession planning, talent development, and culture building. Work closely with regional heads across sales, marketing, operations, finance, and HR.
Collaborate with global leadership, participate in the global management committee, align regional priorities with headquarters, share best practices, and provide regular updates on operational performance, market trends, risk events, and major project progress.
Oversee risk and compliance management by addressing operational, financial, supply chain, and customer-related risks while ensuring adherence to local laws, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and corporate governance expectations.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or higher is typically expected, preferably in business administration, economics, engineering, or a closely related field. An MBA is preferred.
The role generally calls for at least 25 years of industry experience, including 20 or more years in leadership roles. Candidates should have experience in regional business management, P&L ownership, and leading multinational organizations.
Additional Information
This is a top-tier regional leadership position focused on business growth, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment. The role requires broad executive oversight across commercial, operational, financial, and people leadership areas.
