Role Impact and Responsibilities
- Identify educational needs and design effective strategies to enhance training programs for Travel Retail APAC and SEA markets, aligning with business goals.
- Lead and guide educators in planning and executing training initiatives that motivate beauty advisors to boost product sell-out.
- Develop retail excellence programs tailored for Travel Retail and SEA, emphasizing client-centric approaches consistent with MAKE UP FOR EVER's standards and values.
- Collaborate with the International Education team to align market-specific requirements with education material development.
- Plan and implement market-specific training strategies and oversee the regional training calendar, managing budgets to achieve sales and marketing targets.
- Direct educators in creating and rolling out regional training campaigns and adapt education content based on market and consumer insights.
- Execute comprehensive retail and educational curricula, including digital learning apps, grooming standards, and coaching programs to optimize field team performance and drive sales.
- Assess training effectiveness, provide recommendations, and generate follow-up plans to enhance program impact.
- Share best practices and makeup trend insights across regional markets to foster continuous improvement.
- Conduct Train-the-Trainer workshops regularly to improve educator capabilities and training quality.
- Partner with educators and retail managers to coach field staff on brand/product knowledge, makeup techniques, and sales skills.
- Facilitate training and certification for regional educators and field teams through in-house development initiatives.
- Organize and execute training courses end-to-end, according to market demands.
- Coordinate with HQ education teams to map out educator development and implement skill-enhancement workshops.
- Motivate and engage the field team by managing key events such as expert seminars, beauty advisor dinners, and contests.
- Design service workflows tailored to different markets and retailers, ensuring training programs embed optimal retail processes and guidelines.
- Oversee grooming standards for field teams and implement seasonal makeup looks and wardrobe alignment.
- Support product launches through event animation planning, makeup demonstrations, makeup shows, livestreams, and other brand-sponsored events.
- Collect feedback from customers and field teams on products and craft appropriate objection-handling responses.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial departments to handle customer complaints and ensure timely follow-up.
- Act as the education representative within assigned markets, building strong relationships with education departments and retail partners.
- Foster cooperation with education teams across markets, encouraging cross-market projects and sharing best practices.
- Work closely with HQ on project implementations, ensuring successful adaptation to Travel Retail APAC and SEA-Oceania markets.
Candidate Profile
- University degree or higher education qualification.
- At least five years of management experience in makeup artistry, training, or retail within the cosmetics industry.
- Possession of strong makeup skills or graduation from a renowned makeup school is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 40% of the time.
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office suite: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Extensive experience in beauty retail with strong business acumen, particularly in Travel Retail or Southeast Asia local markets.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities combined with strategic thinking; enthusiasm for retail, educational initiatives, and team development.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, interpersonal, and intercultural skills.
- Creative passion for makeup, artistry, and trend awareness.
- Capability to deliver client-focused, engaging, and interactive training sessions tailored to the audience.
